Laura has a special interest in diagnosing and treating adults with an eating disorder, as well as providing support for those struggling with emotional eating and body image concerns. Laura is a Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) with the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). She uses a Stepped Care Model to inform eating disorder treatment. Laura’s main objective is to assist her clients in overcoming restrictive, bingeing and purging behaviours, while also cultivating a sense of comfort and confidence in their own bodies.
Laura’s approach to therapy is both holistic and person-centred, taking into account the physical, social, emotional, nutritional, spiritual and environmental factors that can influence one’s mental health. Laura has experience working with a broad range of presentations such as anxiety, depression, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, adjustment, stress, neurodiversity and perinatal mental health concerns.
Laura Bailey Psychology offers comprehensive psychology services tailored specifically for participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our services encompass a wide range of psychological interventions, including assessments, therapy, and counselling. We understand the unique challenges faced by NDIS participants and their families, and we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals feel understood, respected, and valued.
Assessment is a crucial component of our services, allowing us to gain insight into each individual's strengths, needs, and preferences. Through comprehensive assessments, we can develop personalised treatment plans that address specific goals and concerns, whether they relate to mental health, emotional well-being, behaviour management, or social skills development.
At Laura Bailey Psychology, we recognise the importance of collaboration and coordination of care. We work closely with other healthcare professionals, support workers, and NDIS coordinators to ensure seamless integration of services and continuity of care for our clients. Our goal is to empower NDIS participants to thrive in their personal and social environments, enhancing their overall well-being and quality of life.
